About Us

Superbase is a community-driven space combining youth programming, camps, and a growing café experience. We're launching a new smoothie, juice bar, and café focused on simple, high-quality offerings in a fast-paced, family-oriented environment. We're looking for reliable, energetic baristas to help us bring this experience to life.

Role Overview

We're hiring 2 baristas to support daily café operations. One candidate with prior experience may take on a more senior, lead role. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, moves quickly, and takes ownership of their space.

Responsibilities

•Prepare and serve smoothies, coffee, juices, and simple food items
•Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming café environment
•Handle customer interactions with a friendly, professional attitude
•Open and/or close the café depending on shift
•Manage basic inventory and restocking needs
•Support smooth day-to-day operations during busy periods

Schedule

Expected hours: 7 AM – 2 PM and/or afternoon/evening shifts
Weekend availability is required
Flexible scheduling, but reliability is essential

Requirements

Up-to-date ServSafe Food Handler Permit for NJ
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and customer service skills
Punctual, dependable, and proactive
Comfortable taking direction and also working independently

Bonus (Nice to Have)

•Prior barista or café experience
•Experience with juice bars or health-focused menus
•Interest in being a lead or taking ownership of operations
•Familiarity with POS systems
•Food prep experience (simple sandwiches, food bowls)
