Camp Counselor — Summer Camp 2026
Lead small groups of kids ages 3–13 through a summer of sports, STEAM, art, and play. Full-time, full summer.
Superbase Camp — 157 1st St, Jersey City, NJ $15–25/hr Mid-June through August 2026 (training in early June)

Our Summer Camp 2026 runs 9 themed weeks for ages 3–13 — soccer, World Cup, robotics, art, multi-sport and more. Camp counselors are the heartbeat of every week: leading activities, building friendships, and keeping the energy high.
Role Overview
You'll be assigned a small group of campers (8–12 kids) for the week and rotate with them through daily activities (sports, STEAM, art, swim, lunch, free play). Counselors work in pairs and report to a Head Coach.
Responsibilities
- •Supervise and engage with your assigned group all day, every day
- •Lead games, activities, and breakout sessions
- •Ensure camper safety, hydration, and inclusion at all times
- •Set up/break down equipment and spaces
- •Communicate end-of-day highlights to parents
- •Be present and positive — even at 4:30 PM in August
Schedule
- Full-time: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Must commit to at least 4 weeks (full 9 weeks preferred)
- Training week in early June (paid)
Requirements
- 18+ years old (HS seniors considered for assistant roles)
- Loves working with kids 3–13
- Energetic, patient, dependable
- Background-check eligible
- First aid / CPR a plus (we offer free training)
Bonus (Nice to Have)
- •Prior camp counselor experience
- •Coaching or teaching background (sports, art, STEAM)
- •Bilingual a plus
- •Lifeguard certification (for swim days)
